I am sorry I found your replies quite sarcastic like asking Ramesh to check in the yellow pages. His query was to find out the level of MCU based projects and companies in India. And if we from India cannot answer him straight, what do you think others can do ? And he has confirmed that he is not a job-seeker.

A big NO to that.

OK Ramesh it is like this.

Comapnies working on MCU based products are primarliy in the temperature controller segment / timers and counters / RPM counters that go as panel accessories. They have found the advantages in reduced hardware count and the code security with the modern day flash technology.

Companies like Radix, Masibus, Pedigree have all migrated to MCU based products.

Then you have the companies who are into Wieghing scale segments- right from a lorry weigh bridge to table top models for jewellery and groceries.

In the panel meters now you have comapnies like MECO offering all in one units for KW, PF , Hz and other such for Ac power.

Next come guys like me who do not manufacture consumer products or regular equipment. Every prototypr is the final product. I offer the embedded solution as a cost effective replacement for PLC in machine controls and customers are quite happy with the low cost of maintenance and fit-n-forget relaibility. And analog signal handling or full featured alphanumeric displays - once again the MCU scores over the PLC's. There are many such in Mumbai and Bangalore and a few in Chennai.

Last is the organized MNC's like Visteon who do the ECU for majors like Ford, GM etc. But this is just an extension of the parent comapny in the US / Europe.

From my exposure the above could be the kind of mix - OK I am sure there must be someone in the bio-medical field also.
