Two words: "It's slow". :)

I did try it and it's very impressive what it is capable of. If you need to completely emulate your entire PC you can't beat it. But if what you need is to run probably 95% of all Windows appliactions I don't think you can beat Win4Lin's speed. Plus it uses Linux' native file system which VMWare doesn't--VMWare seems to create a huge disk file and stores your entire "virtual hard drive" in that file. I was truly quite worried about what would happen if that file got corrupted.

Choose the best tool for the job, I guess.
