Check the "Tutorials" sections, click on "Standard 8051 Tutorial" and read "Chapter 8 - Serial Port Operation". Link here.
This chapter will get you up and running with sending and receiving individual bytes. It is easy to send a byte and wait for end of transmission, then send another. Using interrupts is slightly more complicated. - Lee |
