Is it safe to work with this configuration (P89C51RD2 with 24MHz at x6) for production pieces of the product?
NO, any supplier has the right to make 'better' chips at one foundry capable thereof and still make chips 'just meeting spec' at another. ANY attempt to go beyond the stated max is asking for trouble. Philips has specified a maximum of 20Mhz at x6 speed for the P89C51RD2, or am I overlooking something. no, that is the spec. Erik |
