#49958 - RE: Emulator Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I could suggest that you look at the parts from Cygnal. These parts have DEBUG support such as Reset control, single steps, breakpoints, register access, and memory access, via a JTAG port, on each and every part. You can interface to this part through Cygnal's JTAG to RS232 adapter which comes with each Cygnal evaluation board.
With this you get full debugging support right on your target hardware without having to pay HUGE $$$ for an emulator. And while debugging your program runs in its normal configuraton right from the FLASH memory on the part. You don't need to use some specially compiled version of your code that runs under one of those kloogey debug monitors with the code relocated to RAM. Michael Karas |
