The upper RAM on the '52 can be used by several methods. One way is to aim the stack pointer into that area and let to be stack space. The '52 stack pointer is a full 8 bits wide. The other way to access this area is to use indirect addressing. Use the instructions that support the @R0 or @R1 addressing modes.
