Check out on www.lantronix.com for the XPort component.

Not very cheap (50 Euro/pcs), but great performance and ease of use!

If you need TCP/IP ... use this instead of the 80c400.

XPort in combination with the AT89C51CC01 (FLASH, CAN, EEPROM, AD, ...) is a nice and easy design goal.

And if you can wait... AT89C51CC03 will be soon available ....
