#5060 - RE: Decoding any UHF remotes
Bruce has it correct. I should have said UHF remote control for TV sattelite systems. I can now decode any IR remote control using my black box, learn it's code and retransmit it via an IR Blaster led. Would like to do the same for UHF remotes basically doing the same thing. Receive the radiated UHF signal, demodulate the signal, measure the pulse widths, store results and retransmit them when I need too from another source, i.e. from an IR remote.. The IR part of this design works real good using the 89C52 as the work horse. It should work basically the same on UHF remotes after the signal is demodulated and data is extracted. I was hoping for a single fixed frequency to cover a broad range of UHF remotes. I could live with a simple carrier tuneable version. But I may need to drop this part of the design if the carrier frequencies are all over the RF map. Thanks guys for the responce. I was hoping someone who maybe saw a general paper on this subject as a guide for me to see if I can add this to my black box.
