hi,
TCP/IP is an protocol which is independant of the physical layer of connection. in windows you have to bind perticulaer type of connection to the protocol. i dont think direct cable connection uses TCP/IP as default protocol unless you bind it with TCP/IP. add the protocol to the the network and bind it to what ever hard mean you are willing to connect with. abhishek |
