OK, then using the framework in that program on my User Page that I referred to, you can leave ihex.c as-is. Simply modify the program to use a fixed sized buffer (see DevInit()), read the HEX file into it, and write the buffer back out as an ASCII HEX file with nothing but the data bytes.
