Do not know who that is . Anyway, Menno has answered your queries precisely. While the same crystal cannot be used for both, I wonder why the Reset cannot be common if its just a Push-to-ON switch in parallel to a capacitor to the Vcc. In most CMOS derivatives, you can even omit the resistor to the ground - there is a pull down provided by the MCU.

( This does not mean I am advocating the use of simple RC resets instead of regular reset controllers -I am just answering the question asked )

I am also curious to know why do you need two MCUs - will they be on the same PCB ?
