Hi

Thanks everybody for the suggestions.does serial mouse send data in the format same as ps/2 mouse?(1 start bit , 8 data bits,1 parity bit ,1 stop bit) and what about the clock considerations of ps/2 protocol.
also the voltage levels are different for both protocols.
I thought,i would be needing microcontroller for all these purposes.

I will be thankful if some one can provide me the hardware conversion circuit.
