#51856 - RE: writing and I/O Responding to: ???'s previous message |
In other words when i want to use the toggle switches for digital input i write to the port connecting to them and i read the port connected to the LEDs which are used for digital output. Am i right?
Wrong. Completely. You READ the port to which Toggle switches are connecetd. And you WRITE to the port to which LEDs are connected. ANd dont forget to READ the link given by Menno in the last post. And before you READ the toggle switch port, DONT FORGET to write 1's to the port pins. If you want to use all 8 pins as input, just "MOV Px, #0ffh " will do. Raghu |
