#52388 - RE: assembler or C? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I don't want to start the C vs assembly war again but I have a question:
Everybody seems to agree that begginers should learn assembly, be proficient with it then switch to C, but I can't see any reason why you can't start with C, understand the architecture and peripherals of the 8052 and code it with C because it is much easier to get you started. Once you mastered the C language and the 8052 hardware you switch to assembly and find out the cons and pros for yourself? Afterall Assembly language is very hard to write decent programs with especially when you have complex flow control, or math functions and even worse to debug and especially for a begginer. I still don't know any single assembly instruction of the 8052 and I do write good programs with C, but I wrote numerous programs in assembly for other platforms which I can't see how would this help in c programming of 8052.
