#52392 - RE: assembler or C? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
This has been discussed many times and there is definitely no general answer.
What tastes better? McDonald's or Burger King? I repeat: It's a matter of taste! Try both and find out for yourself which is better for you. I prefer assembly as it gives me the maximum control of the source code because I wrote it myself. Thus I get a more efficient program. One of the resons I don't like C: In C you type [instruction xyz] and the result in assembly looks like [do this] [push to stack] [do that] [move here to there] [pop from stack] [add register to accu] [move there to here] [jump somewhere] If you had written that code by hand using a human brain instead of a fixed routine from a dumb machine, you only need: [set port x.y] [return to label z] to achieve the same result. Calm down, all you C programmers out there... This is only MY OWN opinion. Regards |
