Dear folks:

I have to make a sensor application (like simple light interruption intruder alarm) but for something a little faster, a " Bullet " off a " Gun ".

In fact the application shall be used to see the deviation of the bullet form the bull eye in real time, the time it took to travel to the target and record it. The barrel shall be fixed and mounted in the test range.
The test will be on single shots and not the bursts.

The Bullet is maximum 10 mm in diameter and less than an inch long.

What fastest response photo sensors are there for the purpose.

Is it altogether a false idea to use light and sensor here. So any other idea ??
