I currently use a STK300+ microcontroller-board (ATmega103L controller) with the bascom avr compiler. I have connected a 16 * 1 LCD to he board. The board contains the hardware and the compiler contains procedures and functions to control it.

Now, when I try to display some text, only the first 8 charakters are visible on the display. I am not able to use the next 8 digits.

Does anybody know what the problem is?

I think it's an initialisation problem but I don't know how to fix it.
