The header was an attempt to keep manufacturing costs low and the interface consistent across PCBs - basically to show an implementation of In-System-Programming using "just a small 5 pin connector" talked about in the Philips Data sheets. I realize that Flash Magic would also need the addition of an RS232 to TTL converter to run the header connector -and I guess it would be a good idea to expand on that on the webpage, and give away a suggested PCB design, so people can have a finished solution. |
