#52611 - connecting two 8051 |
Hi,
I want to connect two 8051 (Atmel 89C2051) so that I can transfer data from one chip to the other. The data transfer will be only in one direction as shown in the diagram below, from chip2 to chip1. p0.0 of chip 1 ____________________ ^ | <- direct connection | | ------------------ p0.0 of chip 2 I want to know how can I connect them using minimum no of components. I know that the pin which is acting as input should be set to \'1\'. But what of the value being read is \'0\'. In that case logic \'0\' will be connected to logic \'1\' . Wouldn\'t this cause a short circuit. Is using a suitable resistor between the pins( to limit the current) is OK ? Any other suggestion would be highly appreciated. thanks Deepak |
