I know an input doesn't have to have a resistor. At least adding a pullup won't harm anything. Adding a pulldown will more than likely prevent proper operation, that's why I corrected the statement. In some cases a pullup is desirable, such as reducing input impedance to make it less susceptible to noise. I don't think our poster is quite at the stage of worrying about such things, though. - Lee |
