#5263 - Doubling a voltage reference?
Thanks for any advice you can give!!

One of our designs basically calls for the necessity for both a precision 5 volt reference and a precision 2.5 volt reference. One of the ICs that we use serves dual purpose. It does it's main task AS WELL AS provides an external 2.5 volt reference.

The 5 volt reference is provided with an external LM336 or whatever.

Would it be at all possible to accuratly double the 2.5volt without doing any harm to the precision of either? We don't need any insane precision, but a pretty good reference is necessary.

Thanks!!
Philip
