Will not take you anywhere - maybe you will just have the satisfaction of seeing Hello World on the LCD - assuming it works.

You still have not answered the first query - after power up what is it that you see ? Ideally if the contrast is set properly you should see the first line full of black rectangles - the intensity of the black should vary when you adjust the contrast. Checking the code for bugs without getting this correct is wasting time.

And one of the reasons why reading your code is difficult, is, there is no mention of what is connected where - though one can make it out - it is better that you tell .
