Sorry I think your out of luck as far as a drop in
replacement for the 8749.
Lots of people would like to get them. everyone
discontinued this series about 5 years ago
and replacements are very hard to find.
If you can find a hamfest or electronic swap meet
in your area that would probably be the best places
to search.
