Hi Mardi,
I have made a single bare bone 8031 series board. It has a 40 pin IDE type connector to be attached to external boards that hold program storage devices and I/O devices. All traces are on the solder side to make it very easy to transfer from a copy on paper to a copper clad board to be etched. Please let me know if this is what you need. It works great for me!
