Hi There!!
Are TVS diodes sufficient in protecting exponential glitches from contact discharge model which rises in less than 1ms to a voltage level of 20KV (100%) where as I have seen TVS manufacturers saying there device starts in less than 1ns for single and 5ns for dual(bi-directonal) .
Please can anyone clarify me can a TVS diode withstand IEC 61000 8KV contact discharge model where as the bi-directional one takes 5ns to turn on .
