First I apologize for mistyping " 1ms " actually it is " 1ns " .
Michael this is simply Excellent !! .
1) Please do tell me if we can use TVS in conjunction with Spark Gaps (SG) ?
or Ferite beads are OK .
2) You say SG clamps esd event to 200V , does this conforms to
ESD model IEC 61000-4-2 current wave shape . How much Current
is expected from this 200V clamped glitch (Ipp= ? ) .
3) Can Humidity affect the spark gap concept.

Guys , I need answer to one more question as per ES 61000-4-2 ,the glitch
is taking less than 1 nano seconds to reach 100% of its full value . When
I see MANUFACTURERS DATA SHEETS (TVS) most of them specify it for
10/1000us and 8/20us .Where as in IEC model it is much more steeper .I
searched the net and the matter is very confusing .

Is there any TVS that starts in pico seconds to clamp this wave form
moreover there is no correct information for the first few sub nano seconds
of the surge wave form .

Dont you think TVS are not use ful for clamping wave forms as per ES 61000-4-2
as it take 1 nano seconds to 5 nano seconds to turn ON wheras in this
mean time the surge will DO ITS JOB .
