#54244 - RE: PICO OSCILLOSCOPE Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Well, a 'scope is a sort of voltmeter, isn't it? ... ;o))
In fact it saved by behind once. A 0-5V clock signal on a device I built looked very decent on a 60MHz 'scope. On the sampling 'scope, however, it was shown to overshoot to no less than 8.5V, then dive back down to about 3V before settling to 5V. All within 3.5ns or so! Apart from the EMI issue, this clock feeds a smartcard and I hate to think what those 8.5V peaks would have done to the contents of the EEPROM in the long run ... Rob. |
