also I can say, the PCF8583 works great, but I prefer now software RTC, since more accurate. Only, if you need to count time still during power off, an external RTC was wise. But for such purposes, I use now the software RTC in conjunction with a DCF77 receiver. I hate batteries, since they are always a reliability problem. Peter |
