#54760 - Using P0 port as data/cmd lines for lcd?
Hi,
I wonder if it is possible to use the p0 ports as data lines for the lcd. I have a development board with external ram at 8000h, and when I used that to develop the lcd initialization sequence, it doesn't like to do mov p0,a. Do you think that this instruction is valid without the development board, i.e. stand-alone 8051 with lcd ?

A lot of the documentation out there uses P1 as the port to drive the lcd, and I was already running short of i/o lines and would like to use p0 if at all possible. BTW, the lcd I am using is based on the SED1565 (or S1D15605). Any form of help is greatly appreciated as I have been debugging this initialization routine for a week already.:(

Thanks,
Richard
