I did not understand above. Disabling the interrupts momentarily (Critical sections) is a normaly followed. I do not think it is a DISASTER.
Your post seems to indicate that you disable interrupts during a routine. While disabling the interrups during the execution of a few instructions is sometimes necessary, disabling the interrupts for a longer time is extremely hazardous. May be you do not like the mention of 82C55 ?. I have no problem, you have one. Erik |
