I draw a sch but I do not know how to attach filed in here. So, you have an ISP cable and ISP program that works correctly on Win98. Are you suggesting that, or wondering whether, altering this good cable's connections will somehow cause the same ISP program to suddenly start working correctly on WinXP? If you are faithfully reporting the error messages (i.e., "DLPORTIO.SYS device driver not loaded. Port I/O will have no effect"), I'd say you've got to deal with the sofware/driver issues first, before messing around with your cabling. You cannot possibly hope to do anything, whether it be with a good cable or a bad cable, until you get the device drivers/DLLs to load. Try looking in your system's event log. There may be some events there describing what your system is fussing about. |
