I already experimented getting the data of GPS board and displaying it on LCD, it was fun. May be we could work on this project together if you like and publish it on this forum.

Perhaps. I, too, experimented with getting the GPS data and displaying it although I used a Palm device.

I wouldn't mind doing some work together, but I think I'd probably do it either with a Palm or with the mini-PC that Steve's been talking about rather than an 8052 [thus it's not exactly on-topic here]. The main problem I forsee and why I haven't been spending much time on it is that even when you have the hardware and software working, you need map data. Unless you're going to use your GPS system in the sky and only have to plot interesting points of reference, getting sufficient data to make a useful road map and navigation system seems more difficult to me than designing the actual system.
