That bit is certainly true! "the cpu recives data through an i/o pin, each caracter is made out of 5 bits" So it's not actually BCD at all, then? BCD is Binary-Coded Decimal; you only need 4 bits to encode all ten possible decimal digits - so what is this 5-bit "bcd" that you're talking about? |
