Oh yes - this is one of the fundamental safety features that was implemented using the carrier-failure relay output of the reciever. Once this relay drops, the engine speed drops to idle, clutch disengages and brakes apply. And to be doubly sure, we had wired 3 large mushroom head switches on all three sides of the vehicle ( except front for obvious reasons! )that can be pressed to initiate the above emergency feature.
