#56927 - ISO 7816 again |
Thanks dear all for your answers on my last subject, but there were some misunderstandings.
We get smartcards with metallcontacts, that support the ISO 7816 protocol. I am not interested in programming the card. My question was: "Can i use the serial port of a 8051 to COMMUNICATE with the Card???". We want to read and write an asynchronous card. We actually have a memory layout of the card, so we know where to read and write. We only have to implement the interface. Beginnig from the hardware reset, receiving the ATR, setting the baudrate of the card selecting the card and at last reading or writing it. We want to clock the card with about 4 MHz. What baudrate do i have to select to receive the ATR. Can I use a sligtly different baudrate to the real baudrate to detect the errorflag from the card,...a.s.o.? nevertheless thanks for your help, Markus Kammersberger |
