#57022 - Measuring Current |
This kind of strays from the main purpose of this forum, but I can't think of a better place to ask.
I have an 8051 based system (P89C668) and I'm having some issues with some part on the board using more current than it should. So i'm trying to check each IC and I/O line to see whats dragging the system down. To do this, I'm literally cutting the trace to the SMT part and inserting my fluke into the circuit. Is there any other way to semi-accuratly measure current without breaking the circuit? I appologize about my hardware ignorance..i'm learning! Thanks David Tomas |
