Shahzad,

I just finished a project where up to 256 devices can transmit and recieve to each other. I used a RS-485 link. It communicates at 9600 baud at max. distance of 4000 ft.(limitation of power, not RS-485). So, I guess I am kind of partial to using RS-485, since it has proven itself to be reliable to me in projects in which I have used it in the past.
