Hi Don,
Some MTP201 circuits, I seen uses LB1257 and discretes for brake ckt. There are 8 stylus in the head arranged vertically and the resistance per stylus is about 14 ohms. So, ULN2803 will be a good choice and for the brake, a transistor capable of 800mA Ic will be sufficient (some circuits use 2SC2710). Are you repairing this unit or developing a interface for the printer mechanism? BTW, do you have a detailed datasheet on the MTP201 giving details on the tacho output and head position sync? thanks, |
