Are there any other 8051 type derivatives that have greater than 64K ram or 64K rom as I was under the impression the Program counter DPTR etc etc are 16 bits.If there are such processors with greater than 64k for ram/rom how do they get past this limit.
with the eptr (3 bytes) see e. g. Philips P89C669 or the Philips Mx series. Now a lot of people are going to tell you about banking, do not listen if you have any requirement re throughput. Erik |
