If you look into the data on the LPC932 which is a 2X clocking core 8051 type part you can see that it has an X1 and X2 pin pair on pins (P3.1 and P3.0) numbered 8 and 9 that can support an external crystal. You are having the 7.3 MHz mode becasue you are using the internal ring oscillator function.
The data sheet will tell you how to configure the 8 & 9 pins for external crystal. Michael Karas |
