Yes, the internal oscillator stops running (according to the datasheet). But I tried sticking and external xtal with loading caps, reprogramming the config bits, and had the same experience.

But thats the thing Kai, 5uA CAN be achieved. When the part goes into total power down mode, the OSC is stopped and the ONLY way it can be awaken is with a button press (INT1). This thing should be using NO current practically.
