This is also equally BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS for anyone that is thinking of using a high level language such as C on ANY PROCESSOR follow these guidelines and more. It essential to read the whole detail about the microcontroller, its architecture, its data sheet, its instruction set, and its users/programmers manual. That which is so obvious does not just apply to assembler language.

As a matter of fact NO ONE should ever be allowed to write C on a microcontroller unit they have first mastered the the ability to write assembly language on that same microcontroller.
