The English are less ambivalent aboy "joining in" with American friends for Thanksgiving than we are for "enjoying" the 4th July (Independence day) On the BBC news last night there was a story about the special American phoen lines you can ring for help with cooking the traditional bird for the celebration - and the story of the woman who needed to wash the cird, did it in the bathroom sink, then dropped it down the toilet...... |
