#59623 - RE: Can the ISD do it? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Indeed it can!! If you have connected up the ISD1212 chip to the microcontroller do that it can manage the operation of the chip then you can manage the memory usage. The chip has some address lines which allow selection of "messages". You should be able to pre-record any beep type tone you wish into one or more address locations. Each addressed location contains storage for 150 msec of audio so for a 0.6 second beep you can place it into a series of the addressable blocks. (It may even be feasible to put the beep in there by having the micro produce a tone waveform at the input of the chip and running the chip in record mode for a short bit). Clearly the frequency of such recorded beep could be limited by the bandwidth of the chip it self.
