Thanks for the reply, and yep, I think I'll have to go for the RS232 to USB option. The only thing I'm struggling with is my enclosure space. I can't use more than about 10x5cm for the main board, and one of the cygnal boards would not fit into that space, if I have to get a separate RS232 to USB, radio module etc ... My problem I guess is to find almost ANY 8051 board that is easy for you to program and has the I/O you need and the UART Rs-232 port to which you can attach the above shown type of cable All the boards I have found are to big, and have features I don't want.. The phytec boards are nice, and I have used them in tha past, but then I would have to make another board for it to plug into... Øyvind |
