Maybe this is a problem with the equinox programmer.
I'll ring them tomorrow and ask them to supply me with code that breaks 89S53. I know I can bust it with the code I was working on last week. Yet you say you can't bust it. Have you tried deliberately driving slck low in your code and then programming the device again ?
