Lighten up, what is wrong with a bit of fun. If the question is purely technical, you see a technical answer. EDN has Dilbert, that is not "keeping it (simple and) professional". There are threads which are "the opinion pages" e.g. "the choice of career", there are threads that are "the comics" e.g. "how to turn a jet engine on". I have, quite often found blatant errors in the theoritical tretises found in EDN, e.g. they have yet (in approx 10 attempts) to show a reversable encoder counter that works in more than 15 of the 16 possible cases of a reversal. If I were to criticise that, I would spend 10 hours or more (of unpaid time)explaining it to you, so I just give them the BOZO award for that and let you be aware that there are errors in the way it is shown. Lighten up, SMILE and appreciate the fact that Jay takes the time to help (for free!) in whatever way he sees fit - would it be better that he did not participate?.
