I also recall a case where the communicvation was 'working' when not using interrupts, but did not work with them. The develope spent ages trying to find the problem 'with the interrupt' because there was not problem till it got invoked and finally called me. The problm had nothing to do with the interrupt, it was masked by the delay due to workloop processing.

Just one more reason to invoke interrupts from the beginning
