#6140 - RE: Proposal: New RTFM section for 8052. |
I've done frames but they never enhanced it with some needed commands. I don't like the recursive trap people can get into with frames so I avoid them now. I create the same effect with recursive tables and repeated blocks. Its less annoying than frames but it would be easier if html would add an INCLUDE command.
I use notepad.exe and a browser. I've never seen a html editor that allowed me to do things the way I wanted so I don't use them. Win2K notepad is a little stronger than the last one I used so it helps. I just did a corporate homepage last month for a new company I'm creating soon. I kept the html constructions basic but the graphics are real nice. I don't use stylesheets because if you have it turned off or if your browser doesn't support it, it makes the page look like a mess. When you want to sell a product to people that don't necessarily have all the latest computer features, its best to keep the html basic. No java, no javascripts, no frames, no stylesheets, no cookies. Never irritate a potential customer because of browser features he can't access. Basic html wins unless you are selling to computer addicts. aka J |
