Hi Ranjit,

Keep in mind when going over Atmel's examples which use bit-banging to implement the serial interface to the various EEPROMs that the timing is dependent on the uC and its clock.

That is, you need to be reading the EEPROM datasheet and the uC datasheet at the same time when you are doing your coding to get the right number of NOPs in order to meet the EEPROM timings.

Also remember that there are a couple of different interfaces for EEPROMs, make sure you're looking at the examples for the particular chip you are using.
